Volume V - RAIM. Devoted completely to the important topic of integrity monitoring (essential to IFR operations) the new volume describes the two methods; (1) RAIM (Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring) - using satellites only, and (2) monitoring other sources. 
  RAIM Topics Include: Requirements, measuring receiver performance, pseudorange, redundant measurements, GPS integrity tests, calculating RAIM, screening bad geometry, and near-optimum fault detection.
    Autonomous Integrity Monitoring with Integrated Systems: Baro altimeter aiding and clock coasting, combining with Loran, GPS and GLONASS, fault detection with inertial, soft-failure detection in a multisensor system.
